Gyeonggi Province Registers Senior Product Outlets as Gyeonggi Local Currency Affiliated Stores
Gyeonggi Province will register all sales outlets for products made by the elderly within the province as Gyeonggi Local Currency affiliated stores by the end of June.
Currently, 197 senior job program institutions in 31 cities and counties across Gyeonggi Province are implementing senior job programs. There are 209 sales outlets for products made by the elderly, which handle agricultural processed goods and miscellaneous items produced through these programs.
As of the end of May, 162 out of the 209 outlets have been registered as Gyeonggi Local Currency affiliated stores. The remaining 47 outlets are also scheduled to complete registration within this month, so starting in July, customers will be able to purchase products at all sales outlets using Gyeonggi Local Currency.
With this registration, Gyeonggi Local Currency can now be used not only to purchase products made by the elderly, but also at cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores operated by senior job community project teams.
