Changwon Facilities Management Corporation Holds Survival Swimming Class for Families
On June 15, the Woorinuri Youth Culture Center, operated by the Changwon Facilities Management Corporation in Gyeongnam, held a survival swimming class for children and their families, receiving a positive response.
This survival swimming class, which was attended by more than 20 families, was organized to help participants learn survival strategies to prevent water-related accidents during the summer and respond to emergencies in the event of a disaster.
During the training, participants practiced how to wear a life jacket, mastered survival swimming techniques (backstroke), and took part in simulated abandoning and boarding exercises. They also learned how to respond to emergencies such as cardiac arrest and practiced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) through hands-on activities.
The corporation plans to expand the family survival swimming class to other sports facilities with swimming pools, as it received a positive response from participants.
Choi Seoin, a team leader at the Woorinuri Youth Culture Center, said, "I hope this training provided a valuable opportunity for participants to learn how to respond calmly and effectively in the event of an unexpected accident during water activities or at aquatic locations."
