Plan to establish customized energy welfare solutions for each region
Doosan Fuel Cell is set to develop a new energy business model based on hydrogen fuel cells, in collaboration with city gas suppliers and local communities.
On June 16, Doosan Fuel Cell announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for "joint promotion of energy projects to expand regional energy welfare" with Seorabeol City Gas and GNC Energy at Doosan Tower in Dongdaemun. Under this agreement, Doosan Fuel Cell will provide the main fuel cell equipment and Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA) services. Seorabeol City Gas, a company based in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, will handle the supply of city gas in the region, support all related business infrastructure, and share LTSA responsibilities. GNC Energy, an eco-friendly energy company, will be in charge of business development, investment, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tasks.

Through this initiative, they expect to reduce dependence on external power sources and build an energy welfare system optimized for local characteristics. Furthermore, they anticipate that energy costs will be reduced, ultimately enhancing energy self-sufficiency.
Doosan Fuel Cell plans to expand this business model nationwide to more than 30 city gas suppliers, starting with its collaboration with Seorabeol City Gas, thereby increasing business opportunities. In particular, by jointly performing some maintenance services with city gas companies, Doosan Fuel Cell aims to optimize local operating personnel and improve service quality.
