Gyeonggi Provincial Institute of Health and Environment Selected as Excellent Drinking Water and Water Quality Analytical Institution for 30 Consecutive Years
The Gyeonggi Provincial Institute of Health and Environment has been selected as an excellent analytical institution for the 30th consecutive year in the "2025 Drinking Water and Water Quality Proficiency Test" organized by the National Institute of Environmental Research under the Ministry of Environment.
The National Institute of Environmental Research conducts an annual proficiency test for environmental testing and inspection institutions nationwide to verify the reliability and competency of their analyses in the environmental field. The institute comprehensively evaluates the accuracy of sample analyses and the ability to operate equipment, determining each item as "suitable" or "unsuitable" based on Z-values, error rates, and other criteria.
The evaluation consists of 19 items in the drinking water category, including ammonia nitrogen, and 24 items in the water quality category, including biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), for a total of 43 items.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Institute of Health and Environment received a "satisfactory" rating for all 43 measured values, demonstrating its outstanding testing and analytical capabilities as a highly reliable analytical institution.
