Jeonju to Temporarily Close 'Pyeonghwa Health and Wellness Support Center' from June 16
Expansion Work Until August 31
"Improved Accessibility and a Pleasant Environment for People with Disabilities"
The Jeonju Pyeonghwa Health and Wellness Support Center in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, will be temporarily closed from June 16 to August 31 for expansion work aimed at improving convenience for citizens.
According to the center on June 11, the project will include replacing the manual lift with an elevator for people with disabilities, in order to improve accessibility for individuals with disabilities and those with limited mobility.
The center also plans to renovate the oral health room on the second floor, replace the flooring in the health promotion and health education rooms, and upgrade the interior environment to provide users with a safer and more comfortable space.
During the closure, the center will minimize inconvenience for users by conducting mobile health checkups at senior centers and welfare facilities, and by visiting daycare centers and kindergartens to operate health education programs directly at each institution.
For rehabilitation services for people with disabilities, the center will provide customized home-visit rehabilitation services for those who request them and those on the waiting list, ensuring that services continue without interruption.
Kim Hakseo, Director of the Jeonju Pyeonghwa Health and Wellness Support Center, said, "We expect some inconvenience for users during the closure, but we ask for your understanding as this is part of the process to provide better services. Through this project, we will do our best to improve accessibility for people with disabilities and create a more pleasant environment to offer better services to all citizens."
