Seongbuk District Launches Parking Supply and Safety Status Survey
Seongbuk District in Seoul is conducting a survey on the use of parking lots within the district to develop parking policies tailored to the area's specific characteristics. On June 9, Seongbuk District held a kickoff meeting for the "2025 Seongbuk District Parking Supply and Safety Management Status Survey" and began the actual investigation.
This survey is conducted every three years in accordance with Article 3 of the Parking Lot Act, and covers all parking facilities, including on-street, off-street, and attached parking lots. It also examines the status of safety management and the usage of vehicles parked or stopped on roads.
The survey, which includes on-site inspections, is scheduled to be completed by November 2025. Based on the results, Seongbuk District plans to analyze parking issues by area and use the findings as foundational data for establishing parking-related policies, such as mid- to long-term parking lot expansion plans and designating parking environment improvement zones.
