Eunpyeong District Provides Free Medical Wigs for Pediatric Cancer Patients
Utilizing 20 Million Won Raised Through the Hometown Love Donation Program
The Eunpyeong District of Seoul is providing free custom medical wigs to pediatric cancer patients in the district to help reduce the stress and financial burden caused by hair loss during chemotherapy.
The "Custom Medical Wig Support Project for Pediatric Cancer Patients" was selected last year as a designated donation project under the Eunpyeong District Hometown Love Donation Program, receiving widespread support from residents. For this project, a total of 20 million won was raised through 271 hometown love donations between June and December last year.
The support is available to 20 pediatric cancer patients aged 18 or younger who reside in the district and are registered as residents of Eunpyeong District. Applicants must also meet the income and asset criteria specified in the selection guidelines. To apply, applicants should complete the application form and submit it along with the required supporting documents via email to the Eunpyeong District Office's Autonomous Administration Division (jeff3850@ep.go.kr).
The district will review the submitted applications to verify income and asset criteria, and then connect the selected patients with the distribution company Hymoh to produce custom medical wigs tailored to each child's preferences and specifications. For more information, residents can check the announcements on the Eunpyeong District Office website or contact the Autonomous Administration Division at 02-351-6305.
