Woo: "We Must Overcome the Crisis Together Through Open Politics"
Woo Sangho, Senior Presidential Secretary for Political Affairs, is visiting the National Assembly for the second consecutive day to pay courtesy calls on the leaders of opposition parties.
On June 11 at 2:00 p.m., Woo is scheduled to meet Kim Sunmin, Acting Leader of the New Reform Party. Also at 2:00 p.m., he will meet Chun Haram, Acting Leader and Floor Leader of the Reform Party, followed by a meeting at 4:00 p.m. with Kim Jaeyeon, Standing Leader of the Progressive Party. During these meetings, Woo will explain the policy direction of the Lee Jaemyung administration and discuss ways to establish a continuous and substantive framework for cooperation with the political community.
Prior to these visits, Woo stated, "The people’s livelihoods and the economy are facing grave challenges," adding, "Politics must serve as a protective barrier for the lives of the people, and we must overcome the crisis together through open politics that transcends partisan interests, fosters cooperation, and encourages communication," according to a press release from the presidential office.

On the previous afternoon, Woo also met Woo Wonshik, Speaker of the National Assembly; Park Chandae, Acting Leader and Floor Leader of the Democratic Party of Korea; and Kim Yongtae, Acting Chair of the Emergency Response Committee of the People Power Party. The presidential office announced that the Senior Secretary’s office will continue to communicate steadily with opposition parties, focusing on practical and inclusive governance that prioritizes the lives of the people.
