In the footage captured on June 8 (local time), President Trump is seen holding the handrail as he ascends the stairs to Air Force One, his private jet, when he suddenly loses his balance and leans to the left. However, he quickly steadies himself with his left hand on the stairs and does not fall.

The video is rapidly going viral on social networking services (SNS), recording millions of views. In particular, the incident is drawing renewed attention to the 2021 episode in which former President Joe Biden stumbled on the stairs of Air Force One.
At the time, when former President Biden was caught stumbling while boarding Air Force One, the Trump campaign and the Republican Party repeatedly played the footage throughout the campaign, using mocking phrases such as "He's not a young man," to argue that Biden was unfit to serve another term as president.
The Trump camp even used the footage in election advertisements. One ad titled "The One Laughing Now" featured scenes of Biden stumbling on the stairs and falling off a bicycle, accompanied by a narration saying, "Falling on the stairs, crashing on the bike, constantly losing his way. Do you really think this is someone who should live in the White House for four more years?"
Online users reacted with comments such as, "After mocking Biden, now he's in the same situation," "If this had happened to Biden, the media would have gone wild," "Who said old people can't be president?" "It's funny how Trump's attacks on others always come back to him," and "Now Trump is being attacked for his age in the same way."

Meanwhile, former President Biden left office as the oldest president in U.S. history. If President Trump completes another four-year term, he will be the same age as former President Biden was at the end of his term. With this recent "stair stumble," Trump's previous attacks on Biden appear to be coming back to haunt him.
