Uljin County Hosts Festival Where Youth Take Center Stage
This Year’s Youth Harmony Square Successfully Held
On June 7, 2025, Uljin County in North Gyeongsang Province successfully held the "2025 Uljin County Youth Harmony Square" at Yeonho Park in Uljin-eup, with the participation of 300 local youths and parents.
The Youth Harmony Square was hosted by Uljin County and organized by the Uljin County Youth Counseling and Welfare Center. Since 2008, it has been held annually to foster a healthy youth culture by connecting youth clubs with local community resources.
This year’s event featured performances by 13 teams and 10 experience booths, with a total of 230 youths participating. A variety of performances, including band, dance, and drum shows, as well as hands-on activities such as keyring making, moss terrarium crafting, and an economic OX quiz, provided enjoyment for both the youths and local residents who visited Yeonho Park.
Following this event, the Uljin County Youth Harmony Square is scheduled to be held once more at Yeonho Park in Uljin-eup on October 18, 2025.
Uljin County Governor Son Byungbok stated, "The Uljin County Youth Harmony Square is an event planned and operated by the youths themselves, which has further enhanced their autonomy and sense of participation. We will continue to provide support and attention to ensure that a variety of events for youth creativity and autonomy can be held in the future."
