Yeongdeok County in North Gyeongsang Province will operate the program "Defend the Nation! Wolwolicheongcheong, Park Euijang, General Shin" on June 14, 2025, in the area surrounding the birthplace of General Shin Dolseok in Chuksan-myeon, as part of the 2025 Vivid National Heritage Project.
The Vivid National Heritage Project is an initiative that revitalizes local historical resources through programs utilizing national heritage, providing residents and tourists with opportunities to enjoy the region's historical and cultural assets.
This year's program, which was selected through the national heritage utilization project contest, is co-hosted by the National Heritage Administration, North Gyeongsang Province, and Yeongdeok County, and organized by the Yeongdeok Wolwolicheongcheong Preservation Association.
The program consists of national heritage plogging, history lectures, sharing and selling food made with local agricultural products, and hands-on experiences with Yeongdeok Wolwolicheongcheong, an intangible heritage designated by the province. It will be operated in cooperation with the Yeongdeok Office of Education, residents of Dogok 1 and 2-ri, the Yeonghae Hyanggyo Confucian Association, the Yeongdeok Muan Park Clan Association, and the Yeongdeok County Rural New Vitality Plus Project Promotion Group.
