Sejong Education Institute and Media Center Join Hands to Strengthen Media Competencies
Promotion of Experiential and Training Programs to Activate Media Education
The Sejong City Office of Education's Education Institute announced on June 10 that it had signed a business agreement with the Sejong City Media Center to strengthen the media competencies of teachers and young children.
The signing ceremony took place in the conference room on the third floor of the Sejong City Media Center, with about 10 participants in attendance, including Woo Taeje, Director of the Education Institute, and Seo Junwon, Director of the Media Center.
The agreement includes the following: joint operation of training programs to strengthen teachers' media competencies; implementation of experiential and training programs to promote media education for young children; establishment of a joint instructor pool between the two organizations; and promotion of major projects of both institutions to the educational community and the public.
The two organizations have agreed to establish a close cooperative system to strengthen the media competencies of teachers and young children and to work together to provide high-quality media education programs.
Woo Taeje, Director of the Education Institute, said, "By utilizing the excellent human and material resources of the Sejong City Media Center, we will contribute to the qualitative expansion of teacher training programs and the promotion of media education for young children, and will work closely together to strengthen the media competencies of both teachers and young children."
Seo Junwon, Director of the Media Center, stated, "We will actively promote teacher competency training programs that respond to the rapidly changing media environment, as well as pursue various cooperative initiatives."
