Korea National Oil Corporation (President Kim Dongseop) received a ministerial commendation at the "2025 National Records Management Merit" awards ceremony, hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on June 9. The award recognized the corporation's achievements in improving the overall production and management of records.

View original imageIn last year's national records management assessment conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for 248 public institutions, Korea National Oil Corporation scored 99 points, significantly exceeding the average score for public institutions and earning the highest grade.
This marks the sixth consecutive year since 2017 that the corporation has achieved the top "A" grade. This year, the corporation was particularly recognized for its improvements in overall record production and management, including automation of document processing using artificial intelligence (AI) and the establishment of an electronic management system for non-electronic records.
Records are not simply about preservation; they form the foundation for designing an organization's future and building public trust. The corporation has recognized records as a strategic asset and has continuously implemented basic planning, internal inspections, and regular training.
Shin Seunghoon, Director of General Affairs at Korea National Oil Corporation, stated, "Records are a core asset that not only preserve facts of the past but also enable responsible actions in the present and strategic planning for the future. We will continue to promote a societal consensus on the value of records and lead the way in record management culture."
