Busan Gijang County Embraces Science with the 'Gijang Family Science Experience Learning' Event
Experience Programs Including Gijang Science Land, Gijang Science Playground, and Gijang Science Adventure
Busan Gijang County will host the '2025 Gijang Family Science Experience Learning' event on June 14 around the Gijang County Office.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Gijang County's reinstatement. The county is emerging as a hub for tourism, culture, and advanced industries. This event has been organized to showcase the present and future of 'Gijang, the Science Culture City' through a variety of science experiences.
The event will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the lobby and outdoor plaza of the Gijang County Office. Three themed science experience programs will be offered: 'Gijang Science Land,' which connects the past and present; 'Gijang Science Playground,' which opens the door to the future; and 'Gijang Science Adventure,' which reaches out into space.
Participants can take part in a wide range of experience and learning programs, including AI Science Escape Room, AI Consultant, Drone Basketball Challenge, Science Magic, and Astronomy Observation Experience.
The newly introduced 'AI Science Escape Room' is a story-based, mission-type experience program where children solve underwater problems together with artificial intelligence.
This program naturally connects Gijang's local marine science and AI technology, helping to foster scientific thinking and teamwork. It operates on a reservation basis, and those with reservations must arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before their scheduled experience.
Gijang County has also organized an astronomy observation experience, making use of its local characteristics as an eco-friendly city with low light pollution and an excellent natural environment.
This event will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Gijang County Office civil affairs parking lot, where participants will be able to observe constellations and access a variety of astronomical information.
