The 'ISO 37001' certification is an anti-bribery management system established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It serves as an international standard aimed at systematically managing bribery risks, preventing the possibility of corruption within organizations, and ensuring ethical and responsible operations.
The Chungnam Provincial Office of Education's achievement in obtaining the ISO 37001 certification was officially recognized as a result of its thorough pre-inspections across all areas of educational administration and the establishment of an integrated internal control system, which have been acknowledged internationally.
With the goal of obtaining ISO 37001 certification, the Office of Audit led efforts over the past five months to meticulously analyze work procedures across all departments, diagnose areas vulnerable to corruption, and make every effort to implement transparent educational administration.
In addition, the office revised all relevant regulations to realize transparent and clean educational administration, strengthened its prevention-focused internal control procedures, and established an effective response system.
Superintendent Kim Jicheol stated, "We will continue to enhance public trust through transparent, corruption-free educational administration and strive to create an educational environment that supports the proper growth of our children."
