Nongshim Opens Second Global 'Shin Ramyun Bunsik'
Following Machu Picchu, Now in Harajuku, Japan
Nongshim announced on June 9 that it has opened 'Shin Ramyun Bunsik' in Harajuku, Japan, marking its first store in Asia and the second global location.
'Shin Ramyun Bunsik' is a global Nongshim ramen experience space that the company has been operating since April, starting in Machu Picchu, Peru. The aim is to promote the spicy flavor of Shin Ramyun and the Nongshim brand at major tourist destinations around the world.
The Japan Shin Ramyun Bunsik is located on Takeshita Street in Harajuku, a district known as a center of fashion and pop culture. Nongshim plans to strengthen communication with global consumers by operating Shin Ramyun Bunsik in this popular spot frequented by local youth as well as foreign tourists.
At the Japan Shin Ramyun Bunsik, Nongshim has set up an 'experience ramen bar' equipped with instant ramen cookers, allowing customers to try a variety of Nongshim products such as Shin Ramyun, Shin Ramyun Tumba, and Chapagetti. In addition, the store features a 'photo zone' with props like Neoguri plush dolls and neon signs, as well as a message board reminiscent of popular Korean restaurants, providing various ways for visitors to enjoy both the Nongshim brand and Korean culture.
