Baemin Holds Reusable Container Promotion Campaign at Hangang Park with Seoul City
Baemin Holds "Green Picnic to Cool Down the Planet" on June 7
Promoting Reusable Container Delivery Service and Eco-Friendly Practices at Hangang Park
Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baemin, announced on June 9 that it held the "Baemin Green Picnic to Cool Down the Planet" campaign to promote the use of reusable containers at Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul on June 7, in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Eat Green.
This event was organized to increase consumer engagement with Baemin's reusable container delivery service, which was launched in 2022 to promote eco-friendly delivery culture. At Hangang Park, one of the most popular spots for food delivery, the campaign introduced the reusable container ordering process to approximately 1,500 park visitors and encouraged them to use the service directly by providing coupons and other incentives.
The event featured a picnic zone equipped with tents, tables, and mats, as well as a variety of games and activities for visitors to enjoy. In the game zone, the reusable container delivery process was gamified to help participants naturally understand how to place orders using reusable containers, and coupons were distributed so that attendees could experience the service firsthand.
Since launching its reusable container delivery service in Seoul's Gangnam District in 2022, Baemin has expanded the service to over 20 districts in Seoul, 8 local governments in Gyeonggi Province, and select areas in Incheon. The process for using reusable containers is simple: customers select a participating restaurant and request delivery in reusable containers, and the food is delivered in a reusable container and a dedicated bag. After eating, customers do not need to wash the container; they simply place it back in the bag and request collection by scanning the QR code on the bag. The collection company then handles the rest. Customers can find participating restaurants by searching "reusable container" in the Baemin app search bar or by visiting the "Together Store" page in the Benefits section.
