Mayor Lee Eungwoo of Gyeryong Vows to Support Gyeryong Daesil Elementary School's Growth into a Prestigious Institution
On June 5, Lee Eungwoo, Mayor of Gyeryong, stated, "We will actively support Daesil Elementary School so that it can become a prestigious school where students who will lead the future can nurture their dreams."
At the opening ceremony of Gyeryong Daesil Elementary School, located in Daesil District, Duma-myeon, on the same day, Mayor Lee also said, "We will do our utmost to improve the educational environment in Gyeryong by working closely with the Office of Education and the school."
Gyeryong Daesil Elementary School was newly established to meet the growing demand for education resulting from the Gyeryong Daesil District urban development project. It is being recognized as an important educational facility aimed at improving the educational environment for the rapidly increasing population and school-age children.
The opening ceremony was attended by approximately 320 people, including Mayor Lee Eungwoo, Kim Jicheol, Superintendent of Chungnam Office of Education, Park Yanghun, Director of Education, as well as parents and students.
Meanwhile, Gyeryong Daesil Elementary School opened on March 1 and currently has a total of 22 classes, including 21 general classes and 1 special class, with 439 students enrolled.
