Chungnam Provincial University Department of Occupational Therapy Holds 'Special Day' Volunteer Activity

View original imageThe Department of Occupational Therapy Leadership Club 'Leader19' at Chungnam Provincial University announced on June 5 that it held a 'Special Day' volunteer activity in the university seminar room on June 4.
The event was attended by approximately 70 people, including a total of 15 seniors from Cheongyang County Senior Welfare Center and Cheongyang Medical Center.
The volunteer activities included programs such as making snack cups, decorating puffed rice art, and filming a short-form challenge.
Leader19, which organized this event, stated, "As students of occupational therapy, it was meaningful to deepen our understanding of our major through interaction with seniors and to make a tangible contribution to the local community."
Kim Mijeom, the supervising professor, said, "This was a valuable opportunity for students to develop their professional competencies and sense of social responsibility through the practice of filial piety culture and major-related volunteer work. We will continue to pursue mutual growth with the local community through various volunteer programs in the future."
Meanwhile, this activity was carried out as part of the '2025 Junior College Innovation Support Project.' It has been evaluated as contributing to the improvement of students' self-directed leadership and their understanding of the local community.
