Dongmyung University College of Companion Animals Holds "1st Volunteer Together BongsaHagaenya" Campaign
Over 30 students from Dongmyung University College of Companion Animals recently participated in the "1st Volunteer Together BongsaHagaenya" campaign, conducting volunteer activities to inform citizens about proper etiquette when using public spaces with companion animals.
On May 29, the event was held at UN Peace Park under the organization of the first student council of the College of Companion Animals. A total of 39 people attended, including current students, freshmen, and members of the AP Animal Volunteer Club.
The participants were divided into two teams and carried out the Petiquette campaign along courses A and B within UN Peace Park. The campaign was planned as part of volunteer activities linked to their major. Participating students guided park visitors on proper companion animal etiquette in public spaces, such as cleaning up after pets and using leashes, and encouraged them to put these practices into action.
One student who took part in the event said, "I was able to once again recognize the importance of petiquette, and I felt proud to participate in a meaningful volunteer activity related to my major."
Kim Sujin, Dean of the College of Companion Animals, stated, "This volunteer activity was a great opportunity for students to experience social roles related to their major, as well as to promote correct awareness of companion animals. We will continue to support various activities that combine academic learning and practical application."
