Making Flower Balloons, Bubble Shows, and More
Iksan City in North Jeolla Province will host the 'Wise Cultural Playground' event a total of 13 times every Saturday from June 7 to August 30 at the Jungmaeseo Community Lounge.
According to the city on June 4, this program is being implemented as part of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's public contest project, the 'Wise Neighborhood Life Project.' Starting at 1:00 p.m., performances and hands-on activities tailored for children will be held for approximately 100 minutes.
On the first day of the event, June 7, activities will include Mar-yongi Baramtteok (steamed rice cake) making, daisy balloon crafting, and a Bling Bling bubble show. Each week will feature a different program, offering a variety of enjoyable experiences for children and family visitors during the summer vacation period.
To participate in the program, applications can be made through the quick response (QR) code or by phone, as posted on Iksan City's social networking service (SNS).
The city hopes that this event will revitalize the Jungang-dong commercial district in the old downtown area and establish the Jungmaeseo Community Lounge as an enjoyable leisure space for citizens.
A city official stated, "We hope that the Wise Cultural Playground will help transform the old downtown area into a vibrant space frequently visited by children and families. We will continue to operate a variety of cultural content that spans generations and social groups, developing this into a cultural space where all citizens can enjoy themselves."
