Sing on Kim Kwangseok Street and Win Prizes... Daegu Jung-gu Launches Spark Karaoke
Daegu Jung-gu District Office (headed by Ryu Kyuhwa) will regularly operate the 'Kim Kwangseok Street Spark Karaoke' every Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Kim Kwangseok Street Outdoor Concert Hall, starting from June 5.
'Spark Karaoke' is a participatory program where any tourist visiting Kim Kwangseok Street can freely sing on stage. Participants can go up on stage and passionately sing as if they are performing, creating unique memories. Each participant will receive a small tourism souvenir, and those who achieve high scores on site will also be awarded prizes prepared by the Kim Kwangseok Street Merchants Association.
Last August, Daegu Jung-gu District Office, together with the Kim Kwangseok Street Tourism Activation Council, held a pilot operation of 'Spark Karaoke' as part of the celebration event for the designation of Dongseongno as a special tourist zone. The event received a very positive response. As a result, the program will be expanded to regular operation starting this year.
Ryu Kyuhwa, head of Daegu Jung-gu District Office, stated, "Kim Kwangseok Street Spark Karaoke will become a signature content unique to Kim Kwangseok Street, where tourists can directly participate and enjoy themselves." He added, "We will continue to develop new content so that Kim Kwangseok Street can always remain a fresh and special attraction."
