E8 and Gwangju City Partner to Build Digital Twin and AI Industrial Ecosystem
Digital twin specialist company E8 announced on June 4 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Gwangju Metropolitan City on June 2 to establish an artificial intelligence (AI) smart industrial ecosystem based on digital twin technology.
The two parties have formed a strategic partnership to accelerate the digital transformation of local industries by combining Gwangju Metropolitan City's AI infrastructure with E8's core technological capabilities. The partnership also aims to enhance digital competitiveness and serve as a bridgehead for E8's entry into the global market.
E8 provides integrated solutions applicable to urban infrastructure, education, and various industrial sites, centered on its proprietary simulation software 'NFLOW' and its data-driven digital twin platform 'NDX PRO'.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will cooperate in various areas, including: fostering an industrial ecosystem for AI-based digital twins and particle-based 3D fluid simulation development; establishing a regional office to nurture talent and create jobs; and developing and operating diverse corporate support programs to build the AI industrial ecosystem.
It is expected that the AI data center, demonstration equipment, and other infrastructure owned by Gwangju, as well as cooperation with local companies and related organizations, will accelerate technological advancement through the demonstration of digital twin solutions.
Kim Jinhyun, CEO of E8, said, "This agreement is significant in that it materializes a region-specific digital innovation model through collaboration between local government and private technology companies."
