Gwangju University Selected for "Unification Lecture Program for University Students" for Five Consecutive Semesters
Gwangju University announced on June 3 that the course "Unification Guide for the MZ Generation," operated by the Department of Police Administration and the Unification Education Center, has been selected for the Ministry of Unification's "Unification Lecture Program for University Students" for the second semester of 2025.
The Ministry of Unification supports the "Special Unification Lectures and Courses for University Students" program in order to systematize and institutionalize unification education at universities according to each university's characteristics, and to expand university students' opportunities to participate in unification education, thereby raising awareness of unification.
The Department of Police Administration at Gwangju University established the Unification Education Center in 2023 and was previously selected to operate both the "Unification Lectures for University Students" and "Academic Events in the Field of Unification" programs. The unification lecture series began with "Unification Stories with the MZ Generation" in the second semester of 2023, followed by "MZ, Drawing the Future of Unification" in the first semester of 2024, and "The Future of Unification Envisioned by the MZ Generation" in the second semester of 2024.
Continuing from the first semester of this year, when "Unification Songs of the MZ Generation" was offered, the university will now continue the unification lecture program for five consecutive semesters through the second semester.
