Dongui University Startup Incubation Center Selected as Regional Hub Lead Institution for Specialized Competency BI Development Support Project
The Dongui University Startup Incubation Center (Director: Park Youngdo) has been selected as the regional hub lead institution for the "2025 Specialized Competency BI (Business Incubation Center) Development Support Project" promoted by the Korea Business Incubation Association under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
The Specialized Competency BI Development Support Project aims to help business incubation centers develop and operate unique incubation programs to support the growth of resident companies, while also strengthening the centers' expertise and self-sufficiency.
Among these, the regional hub project is operated in a consortium format to strengthen startup infrastructure and networks outside the Seoul metropolitan area. For this project, the Dongui University Startup Incubation Center formed a consortium with Dongmyung University, Busan Innobiz Center, and Korea Maritime & Ocean University. Each institution will take on roles in facilities, space, and incubation, serving as a hub for the startup ecosystem in the Busan region.
The Dongui University consortium will provide practical incubation services for early-stage startups and focus on addressing key challenges faced by startups. At the same time, it plans to develop and support customized industry-academia cooperation programs by utilizing the university's human and material resources.
