Professor Park Sungjoo, who led the field trip, said, "It must have been a valuable opportunity for students to witness the dynamic development of the maritime defense industry and broaden their understanding of future technologies. We will continue to provide field-oriented education to nurture talents equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills."
Students who participated in the field trip also shared their impressions. Kim Dahye from the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering said, "It was truly fascinating to see AI-based warship control systems and various advanced sensor technologies in person. Learning about real-world applications of the knowledge acquired at school was extremely beneficial, and my interest in this field has grown even more."
Choi Yunho from the Department of Marine Mobility remarked, "Seeing various special-purpose vessels and advanced warship design technologies made me feel proud of Korea's excellence in shipbuilding and marine technology. It was a meaningful time that allowed me to envision my dream of becoming a future marine engineer more concretely."
This MADEX2025 field trip is expected to serve as a valuable foundation for Dongmyung University students to strengthen their expertise and grow into key talents who will lead the future maritime industry.
