"The Last Vote Will Decide the Outcome"... Fierce Campaigning in Jeonnam on Presidential Election D-1
All-Out Effort to Win Over Undecided and Centrist Voters
On June 2, one day before the 22nd presidential election, the campaign teams of both ruling and opposition party candidates in the Jeonnam region made a final all-out effort to win over undecided and centrist voters. As it is expected that the choices of voters who have not decided until the end will determine the outcome, each candidate's last-minute campaign strategies are shaping up into a fierce contest.
Local campaign workers supporting Democratic Party candidate Lee Jaemyung, together with Park Jiwon, co-chairman of the joint campaign committee, began their efforts at 9 a.m. Starting at the Haenam traditional market, they toured the Wando and Jindo areas to appeal to local sentiment. In the afternoon, they will visit the eastern region of the Jeonnam Provincial Democratic Party in Yeosu, working to secure votes until the official end of the campaign at 11:59 p.m.

He declared, "From now on, this is the real Republic of Korea, and now is the time for Lee Jaemyung," and urged, "On the 3rd, make sure to vote to end rebellion and eradicate the forces of dictatorship and corruption." He continued, "Syngman Rhee, Park Chunghee, Lee Myungbak, Park Geunhye, and Yoon Sukyeol?these five former dictators have all mobilized for candidate Kim Moonsoo," and strongly criticized, "The shadows of election fraud, the Yushin dictatorship, corruption and impeachment, and the 'prosecutor's republic' are once again looming over this presidential election."
He also emphasized, "There was major controversy over the comments posted by the National Intelligence Service, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Cyber Command, yet there are forces repeating these actions," and stressed, "The people must use this election to permanently remove them from the stage of history." Chairman Park continued to travel around the region in a campaign vehicle, communicating with voters until the very end.
