Yeongdeok County to Offer Free Rural Bus Rides for Seniors 65 and Older and Youth 18 and Under
Yeongdeok County in North Gyeongsang Province will implement a free rural bus ride support program starting July 1, aiming to guarantee the mobility rights of transportation-vulnerable groups such as seniors and children·youth, and to reduce their transportation costs.
This program targets seniors aged 65 and older, as well as children·youth aged 18 and under who are registered residents within the county. Seniors aged 65 and older can receive a free transportation card by visiting their local town or township office with identification starting from the 11th of this month.
Children·youth aged 18 and under can continue to use their existing child·youth transportation cards or purchase a new transportation card for use. However, if they use public transportation with cash, they will have to pay the regular fare.
