Gyeonggi Province Publishes "2025 Major Land-Related Laws Commentary"
The Gyeonggi Provincial Government has published the "2025 Major Land-Related Laws Commentary" to enhance understanding of laws related to urban planning and land use, and to facilitate their practical application. Since 2007, Gyeonggi Province has produced and distributed this publication annually, and this year marks the 19th revised edition.
This legal commentary organizes 42 major laws across 10 fields related to land, including the Framework Act on the National Land and Urban Planning and the Urban Development Act. It also includes recent amendments and step-by-step procedural diagrams for each project, with a focus on improving understanding among residents and urban planning professionals.
This year, the publication has been expanded to include the "Act on Support for Urban Complex Development" and the "Special Act on Railway Undergrounding and Integrated Railway Site Development."
An official from Gyeonggi Province stated, "Land-related laws are frequently amended and have a broad scope of application, which often causes difficulties for both practitioners and civil petitioners. We hope this publication will help people better understand the procedures related to urban planning and development projects."
