Democratic Party Urges Swift Investigation into "Libax School" Comment Manipulation at National Police Agency
Police: "We Will Mobilize All Available Resources for the Investigation"
Lawmakers from the Democratic Party of Korea and the Basic Income Party visited the National Police Agency to urge an investigation into the conservative group "Libax School," which is suspected of manipulating online comments.
On the morning of June 1, Democratic Party lawmakers Yoon Geonyoung, Kim Sunghoe, and Chae Hyunil, all members of the National Assembly's Administration and Security Committee, along with Yong Hyein, floor leader of the Basic Income Party, met with Lee Hoyoung, acting commissioner of the National Police Agency, at the Seodaemun Police Agency.

View original imageAfter the meeting, Yoon told reporters, "Since acts that shake the very foundation of democracy have occurred, we urged the police to conduct a swift and fair investigation," adding, "The acting commissioner also stated that all available resources would be mobilized for the investigation."
Yoon also conveyed that the acting commissioner said he would complete the collection of evidence and the questioning of complainants within the day, and that the National Police Agency would announce its official position on June 2.
