YGPA Holds "Pledge for Active Administration Practice" and Case Study Training
Avoiding Desk-Bound Administration
and Actively Mediating Conflicts of Interest
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (YGPA, Acting President Hwang Hakbeom) announced on May 30 that it held a "Pledge for Active Administration Practice and Expert Lecture" on May 29, attended by employees of the authority and its subsidiaries.
This pledge ceremony was organized to clearly express both internally and externally the determination to break away from passive and conventional administration, lead citizen-centered active administration and administrative innovation, and realize a public service society trusted by the public.

View original imageThe pledge statement included the following: avoiding desk-bound administration that repeats unreasonable regulations and practices; actively mediating conflicts of interest; developing and promoting policies that proactively respond to environmental changes; handling matters with kindness, speed, and fairness to improve satisfaction among citizens and customers; and refraining from neglect of duty and passive administration.
In addition, the authority invited an expert lecturer recommended by the Ministry of Personnel Management to provide training. The lecturer explained institutional support for active administration and shared various examples in an engaging manner, receiving a positive response from employees.
Acting President Hwang Hakbeom stated, "Let us all work together so that a culture of active public service can take root through the practice of active administration, the accompanying immunity system, and the pre-consultation system."
