Ulju-gun Begins Second Phase of Cheongnyangcheon Waterfront Project... "Reborn as a Pleasant River"
Ulju-gun in Ulsan will officially begin the second phase of construction to transform Cheongnyangcheon into an eco-friendly and safe river.
On May 30, Ulju-gun announced that from June to December, it will carry out the "Second Phase of Waterfront Space Creation Project" along the section of Cheongnyangcheon in Deokhari, Cheongnyang-eup.
This project aims not only to secure river safety in preparation for climate disasters such as typhoons and heavy rainfall, but also to provide walking and rest areas for local residents.
Last year, Ulju-gun invested a total of 1.2 billion won to complete the first phase of construction between Cheongnyanggyo and Hanyang Sujain Apartments. At that time, the creation of walking paths and bicycle roads received a positive response from the community.
The second phase will involve installing embankments along a 900-meter section from Deokhagy o to Gaesanggyo, and extending the existing walking paths to further enhance pedestrian convenience and safety for local residents.
An official from Ulju-gun stated, "Through the second phase of waterfront space creation, we will transform Cheongnyangcheon into a disaster-resistant and highly attractive local landmark," adding, "We will continue to expand environmental infrastructure to improve residents' quality of life."
