Enhancing the Connection Between High Schools and Universities
Pukyong National University (President Bae Sanghoon) has been selected for the Ministry of Education's 2025-2026 University Support Project for High School Education Contribution.
The University Support Project for High School Education Contribution is a program designed to reduce the burden of college admissions on students by encouraging universities to design fair and transparent admissions processes and to strengthen the connection between university admissions and high school curricula.
Pukyong National University announced on May 29 that it has been selected for this project for the 11th consecutive year since 2015, recognizing the university's contribution to fair admissions management and the enhancement of high school education. The university received high marks for the evaluation capabilities of its admissions officers and for its activities in collaboration with high schools.
With this selection, Pukyong National University plans to use government funding to promote research related to admissions processes, operate cooperative programs with provincial and metropolitan education offices, hold admissions briefings at high schools and provide consulting and training for teachers, and expand participation in regional college admissions fairs.
In addition, the university intends to further strengthen institutional improvements and the substance of its operations to ensure fair and transparent admissions processes.

The Ministry of Education announced on May 29 that a total of 92 universities nationwide have been selected for this project and confirmed as support recipients for 2025-2026. The selected universities will receive a total of approximately 53.8 billion won in basic project funding this year (about 580 million won per university).
