View original imageDaejeon Technopark announced on the 29th that it had officially launched the ESG Management Committee and begun its full-scale activities.
At the inaugural meeting held on this day, the committee appointed 10 internal and external experts in the fields of Environment, Social, and Governance as members, and elected Director Kim Wooyeon as the chairperson.
During the meeting, the committee shared the achievements of ESG initiatives in 2024, deliberated and approved the basic direction for ESG management in 2025, and reviewed strategies and plans tailored to the characteristics of Daejeon TP. In addition, members exchanged a variety of opinions regarding the future direction of ESG management.
Under the vision of "Balancing Future and Present Generations and Leading the Creation of ESG Value," the committee presented strategic directions such as: practicing sustainable and eco-friendly management for future generations; realizing social value through cooperation with the local community; and establishing trusted and transparent management.
Going forward, the committee plans to provide advice and monitor performance in ESG management, and will regularly discuss and manage ESG policies and implementation tasks through meetings focused on key agendas such as environmental protection, fulfillment of social responsibility, and transparent organizational operation.
Kim Wooyeon, chairperson of the ESG Management Committee, stated, "ESG management is an essential condition for a sustainable future," and added, "Together with the committee members, we will identify necessary agendas for each area of environment, social, and governance, reflect them in our policies, take the lead in ESG practices, and do our utmost to contribute to the growth of the local community."
