View original imageThe Presidential Security Service announced on the 29th that it held the "2025 1st Presidential Security Safety Countermeasures Committee" meeting to ensure the absolute safety of the protectee, including preparations for the 21st presidential inauguration ceremony scheduled for June 4.
With the presidential inauguration just six days away, the Security Service, which operates the Presidential Security Safety Countermeasures Committee, and 14 other committee organizations reviewed security and safety measures, as well as each institution's response plans.
At the meeting, the main agenda items included preparations for security and safety at the presidential inauguration, assessment of the security environment before and after the ceremony, and strengthening inter-agency cooperation systems.
The Security Service reported that it has established security and safety measures, such as contingency plans for unexpected situations to ensure the safe hosting of the presidential inauguration, as well as countermeasures based on vulnerability analysis of security threats before and after the event.

Ahn Kyungho, acting chief of the Security Service and chairman of the Presidential Security Safety Countermeasures Committee, said, "Based on domestic and international security situations and intelligence, we must conduct a comprehensive analysis of vulnerabilities and meticulously review scenario-based manuals for each organization to prepare for various security threats and unexpected situations on site." He added, "I ask each institution not only to maintain a strong sense of duty but also to bring together their best capabilities in their respective positions so that the President can focus on state affairs in complete safety."
