Gyeonggi Province Strengthens Proactive Climate Crisis Response Cooperation with Seoul Metropolitan Weather Administration
Gyeonggi Province is launching a multifaceted cooperation system with the Seoul Metropolitan Weather Administration to proactively respond to the climate crisis and protect the lives and property of its residents.
On May 29 in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province and the Seoul Metropolitan Weather Administration held a 'Working-Level Consultative Meeting on Meteorological and Climate Change Response,' where they discussed cooperation measures such as establishing climate crisis adaptation strategies, implementing joint programs, and operating a direct disaster response hotline.
This consultative meeting was organized to ensure the safety of residents from increasingly frequent weather anomalies and to enable effective responses to crisis situations by sharing rapid and precise meteorological information.
The two organizations are standardizing meteorological observation data for joint use and are operating a disaster response hotline (Hot-Line) that enables immediate action in the event of hazardous weather.

In addition, the two organizations are jointly carrying out various projects, including sharing data on meteorological disaster damages, jointly utilizing an emergency information display platform, addressing gaps in snowfall observation, and subdividing weather alerts by city and county.
