As of 10:08 a.m. on May 29, Mirae Asset Securities was trading at 15,240 won, up 1,800 won (13.39%) from the previous trading day. Most other securities stocks are also rising, including Samsung Securities (4.20%), NH Investment & Securities (6.28%), Daishin Securities (7.04%), and Kiwoom Securities (4.40%).
On the first day of early voting, candidate Lee Jaemyung stated on Facebook, "A competent Democratic Party government will establish a fair market order through a major overhaul of the industrial structure," and emphasized, "With transparent corporate governance, we will realize a new hope of 'KOSPI 5000' in the stock market, which has been constrained by the so-called 'Korea Discount.'"
