This is the third time that former President Moon and his wife have participated in early voting since returning to their hometown, following the 8th nationwide local elections in June 2022 and the 22nd general election held in April last year.
Moon emphasized, "There must be a stern and overwhelming judgment to hold them strictly accountable," adding, "Only when we overwhelmingly judge the forces of insurrection and their sympathizers at the polls, and only by doing so, can our country stand upright and move forward."
When asked about the relatively low vote share for the Democratic Party in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (BUKG) region in the last general election, Moon responded, "This early presidential election will be very different from the previous one."
Moon also stated, "We have already seen the highest voter turnout ever among overseas citizens, and I believe this early voting will also see a higher turnout than ever before."
