Global Ports Open a Venue for Exchange
Busan Port Authority (BPA), led by President Song Sangkeun, participated in a global cooperation forum for smart and eco-friendly ports, opening a venue for port exchange.
BPA attended the 9th Maritime Silk Road Port Cooperation Forum, held over two days from May 26 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China, where it shared Busan Port's digital and eco-friendly strategies.
This forum is an international port event co-hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Transportation and Ningbo City, and organized by Zhejiang Seaport Group and Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group. Under the theme of "Smart and Eco-Friendly Ports," participants discussed ways to enhance cooperation among major ports around the world.
At the forum, BPA introduced Busan Port's automated terminal operations, digital logistics systems, and eco-friendly port policies aimed at achieving carbon neutrality. In addition, BPA took part in a high-level roundtable meeting with domestic and international port authorities, presenting strategies for digital transformation and expanding global cooperation.
