Apply by Email by June 20
Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on May 28 that it is accepting applications from companies wishing to participate in the "2025 New Middle-Aged Tomorrow Connection 50+ Project."
This project aims to provide employment opportunities for job seekers aged 50 to 64 and to ease the labor cost burden on companies. It offers up to 2.5 million KRW in employment incentives to local companies that hire new middle-aged job seekers within this age group.
Eligible participants are small and medium-sized enterprises or mid-sized companies located in Sancheong County that have newly hired middle-aged job seekers with registered addresses in Sancheong County (after January 1, 2025). The business registration certificate must specify "manufacturing" as the business type.
The support is provided at 500,000 KRW per worker per month for five months, with a total of 10 workers eligible. Selected companies can request support after paying five months' wages to the workers and maintaining their employment status.
An official from Sancheong County stated, "We hope this project will benefit business owners who hire middle-aged workers and help unemployed middle-aged job seekers gain more employment opportunities."
