"Let's Go Together"... Google CEO Reaches Out to Korean Developers
Pichai Deeply Impressed by Korea's Tech Ecosystem
Emphasizes Collaboration by Saying "Let's Go Together" in Korean
First-Ever Direct Interview Between Google CEO and a Korean YouTuber
Personally Introduces Next-Generation AI Platform Strategy
Google CEO Sundar Pichai stated in an interview with YouTube creator JOCoding, "I am deeply impressed by Korea's artificial intelligence (AI) technology," and added, "I want to move forward together with Korea." It is unusual for the head of a major multinational tech company to directly communicate with a domestic developer. The fact that he specifically named Korea as a partner for global AI collaboration is drawing attention.
On May 27, JOCoding released a video on his YouTube channel featuring an exclusive interview with CEO Pichai at Google I/O. In the video, Pichai said, "AI is having a major impact on industries worldwide," and added, "Korea, in particular, has a high level of AI adoption and a rapid pace of innovation. It is a very promising market."
He continued, "Korea has a tech-savvy and highly creative developer community," and expressed a strong willingness to collaborate by even using the Korean phrase, "Let's go together."
This is the first time the Google CEO has participated in an interview with a Korean YouTuber, especially one focused on IT education content. This is seen as evidence that Google regards Korea's technology ecosystem and user base as strategic assets.
Through the interview, CEO Pichai also introduced Google's next-generation AI platform, Gemini, discussed innovations in search, and shared plans to strengthen the developer ecosystem. He said, "Korean developers are making outstanding contributions to the Google ecosystem," and added, "We will continue to look for ways to collaborate even more closely in the future."
