Goryeong County Volunteer Center Conducts Cleaning Volunteer Service at Temporary Housing for Yeongdeok Wildfire Victims

This volunteer activity was organized as part of support efforts to provide practical assistance to residents of Yeongdeok County who suffered damage from the recent large-scale wildfire. Participants worked hard to create a pleasant living environment by cleaning the temporary housing facilities and improving the living conditions.
One member of the Women's Association Council who took part in the volunteer work expressed, "I am grateful to be able to extend even a small gesture of warmth to the affected residents," and added, "I will continue to actively participate in sharing for the community whenever there are disasters or hardships in the future."
Kangha Lee, Director of the Volunteer Center, stated, "I deeply thank the members of the Women's Association Council for willingly joining us despite the hot weather." He continued, "I hope this volunteer activity has brought at least some comfort to the affected residents, and we will continue to carry out practical volunteer activities through interregional cooperation in the future."
County Governor Namcheol Lee also said, "I extend my deepest condolences to the residents of Yeongdeok who have suffered significant damage from the wildfire." He added, "I am grateful to the members of the Women's Association Council for sharing their warmth through voluntary service, and Goryeong County will continue to take the lead in practicing sharing to create a caring society."
