[Photo] Gwangju Office of Education Holds Memorial for Jeju Middle School Teacher
On May 27, the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education held a memorial ceremony for the Jeju middle school teacher at the main office’s Eum Square. Superintendent Lee Jeongseon and senior officials attended the ceremony, offering flowers and observing a moment of silence in remembrance of the deceased. Superintendent Lee stated, "We honor the life of a teacher who dedicated themselves to a single child, and we pray for the repose of their soul," adding, "We will work to create an environment where teachers are respected and can educate safely so that such tragedies do not happen again."
