Korea Investment & Securities Hosts '2025 Global Market Outlook' Seminar
Korea Investment & Securities has strengthened its strategic cooperation with global asset management firms while also providing individual clients with opportunities to gain global investment insights.
On May 23, Korea Investment & Securities announced that it had hosted the '2025 Global Market Outlook' seminar at the Grand InterContinental Parnas in Samseong-dong, Seoul, inviting leading global asset management firms. The event was designed to offer individual clients differentiated investment insights and introduce strategic investment products by leveraging its global network to bring together asset managers.
The seminar was attended by Hersh Gandhi, Head of Asia at UK-based asset manager Man Group; Edward Cole, Head of Multi-Strategy at Man Group; and Kang Seokwon, Korea Representative of Man Group. Also present were Lee Yongseok, Asia Managing Partner at Lexington Partners; Kim Taehui, Korea Representative at Franklin Templeton; Karan Talwar, Public Fixed Income Client Portfolio Manager at Barings Asset Management; and Park Jonghak, Korea Representative at Barings. Over 100 individual clients of Korea Investment & Securities participated in the event.
During the seminar, Gandhi stated, "Trade wars are causing uncertainty in the global bond market, but differentiation among credit sectors can provide investors with selective investment opportunities." Song Seungryong, Head of GIS at Korea Investment Trust Management, also presented investment strategies, focusing on the 2025 global market outlook and changes in the private equity market.
On the same day, Kim Sunghwan, CEO of Korea Investment & Securities, reaffirmed the commitment to strategic cooperation between the two companies during a meeting in Seoul with John Waldron, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Goldman Sachs, who was visiting the city. Korea Investment & Securities recently signed a business agreement at Goldman Sachs' headquarters in New York, United States.
