Korean Culture and Arts Committee Recruiting Fourth Cohort for ESG Working Group
Recruitment Open Until June 16
The Korean Culture and Arts Committee announced on May 26 that it is recruiting participants (organizations) for the fourth cohort of the 2025 Culture and Arts Institutions ESG Working Group.
The Culture and Arts Institutions ESG Working Group is a program operated in cooperation with public and private culture and arts institutions across the country, with the aim of discussing and identifying practical tasks related to elements of sustainable management such as environment, society, and governance.
This year, applications for participation in the Culture and Arts Institutions ESG Working Group will be accepted until June 16. The recruitment targets practitioners affiliated with public and private institutions in the culture and arts sector. Further details can be found in the notices section of the Korean Culture and Arts Committee website.
The 2025 ESG Working Group, which will be operated this year, will provide preliminary training to selected practitioners to help them achieve a higher level of understanding in the ESG field. In addition, at the working group site, participants will directly identify practical tasks and jointly develop ESG indicators tailored to the characteristics of the culture and arts sector.

Jung Byungkuk, Chairperson of the Korean Culture and Arts Committee, stated, "I hope that the ESG Working Group will serve as a practical stepping stone for culture and arts institutions to realize both sustainability and public value." He added, "This year will be a meaningful opportunity to directly develop ESG indicators specialized for the culture and arts sector, based on the realities of the field."
