NHN KCP Introduces Credit Card Payments for Zygeist Modular Homes
"Lowering Barriers to Home Purchases
and Enhancing Payment Convenience"
On May 26, NHN KCP announced that it will introduce a credit card payment service for home purchases in partnership with Zygeist, GS E&C's modular housing subsidiary.
This will increase accessibility for consumers who feel burdened by securing funds for home purchases, while also allowing them to take advantage of various payment benefits such as interest-free installment plans and cashback offers.
Zygeist is a modular housing subsidiary established by GS E&C in 2020. Modular housing refers to homes that are approximately 70% manufactured in a factory and then installed and finished on-site. This approach has attracted attention as a future residential space due to its shortened construction period, uniform quality, and eco-friendliness. Zygeist has shown rapid growth, increasing its sales more than tenfold from 1.4 billion won in 2023 to 14.9 billion won last year. Recently, the company has expanded its business scope beyond business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions to include business-to-government (B2G) contracts with public institutions.
NHN KCP, the leading electronic payment service provider in Korea, plans to provide Zygeist with an optimized payment solution. Leveraging this partnership, the company aims to expand its business into new industries such as the housing payment market, establish customized services for businesses, and build a highly reliable payment environment. NHN KCP also plans to continue working closely with Zygeist to further advance its payment system and continuously expand the scope of its services.
An NHN KCP representative stated, "By collaborating with Zygeist in the modular housing sector, which is gaining attention as a future residential space, we are now able to meet new payment demands," adding, "We will continue to expand our specialized electronic payment solutions for various industries through technological innovation and diversification of payment services."
