8th Yangsan Ae Ground Golf Tournament Successfully Concludes
A Venue for Promoting Healthy Leisure and Unity Among Seniors
The 8th Yangsan Ae Ground Golf Tournament, aimed at promoting the health and unity of seniors in Yangsan, South Gyeongsang Province, was held successfully on May 22 at the auxiliary stadium of Yangsan Sports Complex.
This event was hosted and organized by the Yangsan City branch of the Korean Senior Citizens Association, sponsored by Seongkwang Bend, a leading local company, and brought together approximately 280 seniors from the Yangsan area for healthy competition and enjoyable interaction.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mayor Na Dongyeon and City Council Chair Kwak Jongpo, who both delivered congratulatory remarks and encouraged the participants. Mayor Na stated, "Physical activity is very important for a healthy life in old age," and added, "The city will further expand support for senior welfare and leisure activities."
Chair Kwak Jongpo remarked, "Events like this provide great vitality to our seniors," and promised, "The city council will continue to offer active interest and support."
The participants formed teams and engaged in friendly competition. Based on the results of each team's matches, outstanding teams and individual participants were selected and awarded.
Sponsor Seongkwang Bend has consistently shown interest in the local community and has been at the forefront of various sponsorship activities, particularly those aimed at improving senior welfare and health.
Seo Chun-gye, head of the Yangsan City branch of the Korean Senior Citizens Association, said, "We will continue to prepare a variety of activities to ensure the healthy and happy lives of our seniors."
