Yeongyang County Holds In-Person Consulting Session for Gender Impact Assessment Target Projects
Yeongyang County in North Gyeongsang Province held an in-person consulting session for the "2025 Gender Impact Assessment Target Projects" on May 21 in the county office's small conference room, in order to effectively implement the gender impact assessment projects.
The gender impact assessment is a system designed to systematically and comprehensively identify the impact of major government policies on each gender, improve gender-discriminatory elements, and realize substantial gender equality.
This consulting session was conducted as a face-to-face meeting between professional consultants from the Gender Impact Assessment Center of the Gyeongbuk Women’s Policy Development Institute and project managers, focusing on 18 projects that were finally selected from the following fields: job creation projects, Fourth Industrial Revolution projects, youth support projects, safety projects, and newly launched or pledged projects.
In particular, this consulting session focused on identifying gender-sensitive perspectives within each project and deriving effective improvement tasks. The improvement tasks identified will be actively incorporated into the projects.
