The Muan International Airport Revitalization Promotion Committee, chaired by Park Ilsang, announced on the 22nd that it had formed a consultative body and held a meeting at the Muan Creative Center on the 21st to discuss the normalization of Muan International Airport.
The meeting, presided over by Chairman Park Ilsang, was attended by 12 stakeholders, including members of the Jeollanam-do Provincial Council and the Muan County Council. They exchanged opinions and shared information on the current status of Muan International Airport and the necessary measures in each field for the full resumption of airport operations in the second half of the year.

View original imageIn addition, the participants agreed on the urgent need to determine the cause of the 12·29 Jeju Air passenger plane accident and emphasized that the closure period of Muan International Airport should not be further extended. They also decided to submit their recommendations to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Jeollanam-do, among others.
Chairman Park Ilsang stated, "At the next meeting, we will ensure a more substantial discussion with the participation of Jeollanam-do and other relevant parties. As there are many challenges to address for the normalization of Muan International Airport, we will continue to share the current situation and make systematic preparations to overcome the crisis through the establishment of ongoing channels for dialogue."
