4,892 Free Legal Consultations Provided for Incheon Small Business Owners... Litigation Cost Support Included
On May 21, Incheon City announced that it has provided a total of 4,892 free legal consultations through the Incheon Small Business Comprehensive Support Center from 2019 to April of this year. The consultations included 1,022 cases related to unfair trade practices and 3,870 cases related to commercial lease issues.
Consultations on unfair trade practices are offered when small business owners suffer damages in transactions between franchise headquarters and franchisees, or between agency headquarters and agencies. Commercial lease consultations support a wide range of disputes between landlords and tenants, including issues such as key money, contract termination, contract renewal, restoration to original condition, security deposits, and rent.
The city not only provides consultations but also offers various customized support measures to help small business owners who have suffered damages resolve their issues in practice. These include assistance with drafting content-certified letters and dispute mediation applications, filing reports with the Fair Trade Commission, and supporting litigation costs.
If free consultation or support is needed regarding unfair trade practices or commercial lease issues, inquiries can be made to the Small Business Policy Division of Incheon City or the Fair Trade Support Team at the Incheon Small Business Comprehensive Support Center.
